2 failures in 7 months, May 10, 2011 1 month after the purchase of a Samsung RF266AEBP the top refrigerator portion stopped cooling. The evaporator was frozen. Apparently, this is a very common problem, google "samsung refrigerator not cooling".
Since this is so common, repair parts had a long lead time so the machine was replaced with a brand new one. This one lasted 6 months. Again the refrigerator part stopped cooling. This time a simple unplug/re-plug fixed it.
If I wasn't home, we would have lost all of our food. Needless to say I will be replacing this machine with a different brand. Buyer beware!

French Door Refrigerator - Black Pearl Made a huge mistake buying this refrigerator! The inside parts are such cheap plastic 2 have already broken and we've only had it for 5 months. The large drawer on the bottom of the refrigerator doesn't stay on it's track so half the time you can't open it. We haven't been able to figure out a good shelf configuration to actually fit things well. And it's really hard to find things! You would think with the bright interior light and clear shelves it would be easy to find what you were looking for - but it's not.

French Door Refrigerator - Black Pearl My parents have had an older model in the same line of this fridge, and I was always impressed by it's functionality and looks. At 26 cu. ft., there is so much space for everything. I especially like the height adjustable racks for the taller containers. I prefer not to have the ice and water dispenser on the front because it just takes up shelf space in the interior. The ice maker is in the interior freezer rack. Though it does not come with its own ice scooper. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this fridge had an interior water dispenser. It's on the left side of the main cabin and does not take up much space at all.
The picture shown for the product does not do the elegant black glossy finish any justice. Everyone is wowed the first time they see it. Fingerprints and streaks do linger, but you really have to be looking to see them. A minor nitpick is more related to my kitchen's layout, but the fridge has a sticker with the tag, model, etc. numbers on the left... Read more
