Get a Rinnai, they're more reliable with better customer service, February 8, 2012 By K B (KS) - See all my reviews This review is from: Navien NR-210 Condensing Tankless Water Heater, Natural Gas (Tools & Home Improvement) I purchased a Navien NR-210 through a local plumber about 16 months ago and until now it has been great. About 4-6 weeks ago the water heater started to shut off with an error code 35. It was sporadic with no apparent rhyme or reason. And now when I run the water to give my kids a bath it constantly switches on and off so the water will heat up and then turn ice cold. It is impossible to get a decent water temperature for a bath. This doesn't happen with lower flow appliances like the shower, faucets, dishwasher, or washing machine. I sent Navien customer service an email and it has been well over a week and they haven't responded. Checking on their website the plumber who installed it doesn't do service so I am now going to have to pay someone to drive almost two hours to service the water heater. For something that is less than 18 months old these problems shouldn't occur. And if these problems do occur the least Navien could do is reply to customer questions.
