Careful! Cannot be used over carpet, September 6, 2009 By John J. (Los Angeles) - See all my reviews This review is from: Deflect-o Harbour Pointe Meridian Rectangular Chair Mat (Office Product) This product cannot be used in a carpeted room. The mat is made of a soft vinyl and the chair casters sink into the surface, creating depressions in the surface of the mat, thus preventing the chair from moving. Unaware of this, (I did not find a caution about this aspect of the product in the description), I purchased the product, then unhappily had to pay to return it, only to be charged by the supplier for the shipping to me PLUS a restocking fee. When I attempted to protest the restocking fee (although I'm not happy about it, I can understand paying the shipping charges both ways), I found myself corresponding with either a robot or a human with little understanding of the english language. Very frustrating, I won't deal with this vendor again.
