I received one box of 100 clips for $5.00+. I thought these were very expensive paperclips. I assumed (stupidly, I guess) that I would receive 10 boxes of 100 clips each. I will likely not be ordering from Amazon.com again.

It is lying though. You only get 1 box of 100 paperclips.

Came as described, March 10, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: ACCO Economy #1 Non-Skid Paper Clips, 100 Count per Box, 10 boxes per order (72385) (Office Product) People have complained that they've only received 100 paperclips, however I received a shrink wrapped case of 10 boxes of 100 staples (so the promised 1,000 pcs). It looks like Amazon has fixed the quantity issue, so you should feel comfortable purchasing these again. (Just make sure you're purchasing from Amazon, and not a 3rd party vendor unless you contact them first!)
